Soooo hello there world! I'm so sorry for taking a month to update this thing!!! It was spring break and then we were playing and then I was drowning in mountains of schoolwork... but finally I have a minute!!! Also, I'd just like to add to whoever is reading this I am writing this for entertainment purposes and to keep everyone updated on our Lax-awesomeness so if you have something nasty to say how about we keep it to ourselves. Thanks!!
Anyways we ended up loosing to RIT which was frustrating but a reality check all the same. We also had a really cool practice with Edinborough (PA) College the Saturday of Spring Break... It was super awesome because we kind of scrimmaged them and figured out what we need to work on and ran some sets that we normally can't fully do in practice. I think we all enjoyed it thoroughly. After that we went to the BEACHHHHH for a few days and it was super fun!!!! Surprisingly enough we had really great weather and all managed to get sunburnt. Yay Myrtle Beach!!
However, when we got back dun dun dun... we lost to Christopher Newport and Virginia Wesleyan, our first ODAC game of the season :(. That was not fun. But then we beat Bridgewater so that was good, but we just lost to Lynchburg so that is not good (obviously). Our record right now is 4-4 and 2-2 in the ODAC (we played Hollins last Wed... not to hate on Hollins but that game was kind of a joke).
This weekend, we are playing our ARCH ENEMIES Randolph Macon. To give some background history on Randy-Mac here, my freshman (08) year we played them there and beat them, then in ODACs they played us here and beat us. Then last year we played them here, lost VOWED revenge but couldn't get our act together in ODACs and lost again. SO lets just say we might be a little hyped up for this game this year. Meaning I'm ready to go out there and hand it to them and I know I'm not the only one.
Loosing to Lynchburg the other day hurt really bad. Last year we lost to them in Double OT because of some shady calls... It never does anyone any good to blame the refs for a game, but you watch the film of that game and you just might say "hm if the ref had actually been paying attention Guilford might have won that game" but oh well. Anyways we wanted to win this year but didn't get rolling till late in the half. This I've decided is our biggest problem. We can't take 10, 15, or 20 minutes to get into a game. We need to step onto the field ready to go. SO LETS GO.
All I'm saying is Saturday is ours. Randy Mac is NOT winning. I've already decided we are.
I would post pictures from the past month BUT my camera didn't survive spring break so I will hopefully be able to do that next time. However French class calls, I've got to go parlez en francais!!!
Peace
Meaghan
