Interesting perspective. Higher education is responsible for creating the engineers who made the industrial revolution possible, so it should now be responsible for creating the engineers (and others) who can fix the damage done by that revolution.

So glad to see this happening, as long as it's done well. So many of the products I see out there, particularly—but not exclusively—at big box stores, are really just greenwashing. Take a look at the ingredients and they're not really sustainable at all.
