Looking forward to the retreat beginning May 29, 2009

We are looking forward to your arrival next week to our beloved campus stomping ground.  We hope you have received your packet of information in the mail.  More information awaits you when you get here!

We will kick off the weekend Thursday night for those of you nearby or those in town early.  From 5 to 7 at Solaris Tapas Bar and Restaurant we will have an alumni gathering we are calling "Guilford Crossroads."  A chance for Greensboro area alumni to meet up with each other in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

Then Friday, we will begin at Ragsdale with the President and Trustee reception from 5:15 to 6:15.  Following the reception will will have dinner at the Alumni House from 6:30 to 8:30:  a time to reconnect and get to know each other better.

We'll get down to work on Saturday morning in Duke Hall/Leak Room beginning with coffee and breakfast goodies at 9 a.m.

Esther will rev us up as we prepare and plan for the next academic year and beyond.  We are so very grateful for your service to our alma mater and are excited about being with you next weekend.

Welcome to the Alumni Board Blog!

Through the offer of Guilford's IT department, we now have an opportunity to try out a blog for the Alumni Association Board of Directors.  We will experiment with this blog as a place for the board president, committee chairs, and alumni office staff to post current information that will be helpful and interesting for our alumni leaders.

The president, committee chairpersons and staff will be able to post to the site.  Other members will be able to comment. There is an option to subscribe to this blog.  When you subscribe, you will then receive an email (or message to your RSS reader if you have one) whenever there is a new post.  You do not have to subscribe.  You may merely check the blog as often as you wish (but we hope board members will subscribe).
